Raising Awareness

We design and implement campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of self-care in cancer prevention and early detection. Our approach focuses on promoting healthy lifestyles and educating the public on practices that can reduce the risk of this disease.

Additionally, we conduct vaccination campaigns against the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), the main risk factor for cervical cancer and other types of cancer in both men and women.

Strengthening Your Steps

This is our navigation program for cancer patients and their families, designed to guide and support patients from the moment of diagnosis through the completion of their treatment.

At Fundación de Alba, we provide comprehensive support to patients diagnosed with cancer and their families, with the goal of ensuring access to and adherence to treatment through:

Health Management

We provide detailed information about the healthcare system and the various care options available in the community. Additionally, we offer guidance and hospital advisory services to help patients navigate administrative processes and familiarize themselves with the facilities and medical staff.

Clinical Support

We facilitate access to medications, catheters, nutritional supplements, immune boosters, and testicular prosthetics necessary for cancer treatment. Our aim is to ensure that patients have access to all essential clinical resources for their care.

Capacity Building

We offer personalized support to patients and their families through support groups, providing psychoeducational tools to help them throughout the course of the illness and in their reintegration into daily life.

Treatment Adherence

We help minimize the economic impact on families by providing basic food supplies, transportation, and nutritional supplements. These supports are designed to encourage treatment continuity and ensure that patients can focus on their recovery without additional worries.

Building the Future

We coordinate actions to raise awareness among decision-makers about the importance of providing equitable and high-quality access to treatment for individuals diagnosed with cancer.

We are currently working alongside 13 other civil society organizations to advocate for the General Cancer Law, which aims to guarantee the right to health protection for patients, covering cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and comprehensive care in Mexico.
